At present, the product standard CB/T 8939-2008 and the sanitary standard CB159792002 implemented by sanitary napkins have clear regulations on the technical indicators and hygiene indicators of the product. The technical and hygiene indicators of good sanitary napkins must meet the following requirements.
The technical indicators of sanitary napkins from sanitary pads manufacturers mainly include full length, full width, deviation of strip quality, water absorption multiple, infiltration amount, pH value, adhesive strength of sanitary napkin glue, etc.
The deviation of the length, width and strip quality of sanitary napkins is mainly related to the accuracy of the equipment. Under normal circumstances, the deviation of the full length and width of the sanitary napkin can be controlled within 0.5%, and the deviation of the quality of the sanitary napkin can be controlled within 5%, which is much higher than the standard requirements.
The water absorption rate reflects the absorption capacity of the product, which is mainly related to the core material of the product. In order to improve the water absorption rate of the product, it is usually necessary to add an appropriate amount of polymer absorbent resin (SAP for short) into the absorbent core of the hygienic sanitary pads.
SAP is a typical functional polymer material, which can absorb hundreds or even thousands of times its own weight in water, and has a strong water retention capacity.
Therefore, adding SAP to sanitary napkins can not only improve the water absorption rate of the product, but also improve the dryness of the product during use.
Permeability reflects the instantaneous absorption capacity in sanitary napkins and can be used to measure the rate of absorption of a product. The permeability is mainly related to the surface material of the hygienic sanitary pads.
In order to improve the absorption speed of the product, a material with hydrophilic properties (such as hydrophilic non-woven fabric) should be selected as the surface material of good sanitary napkins.
For the perforated membrane surface material with poor hydrophilic performance, the hydrophilic hot air non-woven fabric can be added as a guide layer under the perforated membrane to improve its permeability.
Too high or too low pH can irritate the skin. Since sanitary napkins are made of a variety of materials that are pressed and cut by special machinery, their pH value is related to their constituent materials, and materials whose pH values meet the regulations must be selected in the production design.
The adhesive strength of sanitary napkin adhesive must be moderate. The adhesive strength of the glue is too high, and the sanitary napkin is not easy to peel off from the underwear during use and even damages the clothes;
If the bonding strength of the glue is too low, the bulk sanitary pads will not be adhered firmly or even shift or fall off. In order to obtain a good sticking effect, thin strips of glue should be used as much as possible in the design of the adhesive strength, so as to obtain larger sticking and lower consumption of glue.
An ideal sanitary napkin should not only have good hygiene, safety, comfort and concealment, but also fully consider to meet the external and internal needs of users, and has good production feasibility and reasonable cost structure.
Therefore, in the design of sanitary napkins, it is necessary to consider more details according to the specific performance and production conditions of hygienic sanitary pads in order to design satisfactory products.
